As the first step we have chosen the Nuwara Eliya and Badulla
Districts of Sri Lanka to work with those who are suffering
from abject poverty and to assist them in safeguarding their
food, health, livelihood and education interests.
We
will first strive to create a situation where all families in
the estate sector of Nuwara Eliya District to enjoy three healthy
meals per day leading to a significant reduction in child and
female malnutrition in the region.
We will enhance the
quality of life of those who are living in the estate sector
of Nuwara Eliya by provisioning adequate health care facilities
through a series of medical camps catering to the everyday health
care requirements of both abled and the disabled.
We
will provide support for developing access to quality education
for the children of the estate sector at primary and secondary
levels. For infants we intend to establish day care centres
where they will be safe during the absence of their working
parents. We will also provide youth vocational training for
livelihood development and provide credit facilities to pursue
their dreams for securing their ideal livelihoods.
Food Security
- Distribution of dry rations among selected marginalized
of the marginalized low income families
- Provide at least one healthy meal per day for 500 selected
children across the district
- Create awareness among parents for preparation of low
cost healthy meals for the family
- Provide free nutritional guidance and advice for pregnant
mothers in collaboration with the MoH
Health Security
- Free medical camps and basic medicine
- Free eye and dental clinics
- Free Special health care camps for the disabled
- Free wheel chairs, crèches, walking frames, bed pans,
etc
- Free Ambulance Services
Education Security
- Free school materials in addition to the government
contributions (text books, bags, stationary, sports equipment
etc
- Establishment of good libraries and create improve library
usage among children through awareness creation an instilling
a culture of learning through reading
- Establish places for bible study and promote bible study
among communities
- Improve conditions to retain and attract school teachers
to work in the sector
- Build new school class rooms, latrines, and access to
drinking water
- Provide assistance to severely low income families to
minimize both direct and indirect costs of education given
to their children and create awareness on the importance
of education
Livelihood Security
- Provide vocational training for youth in different trades
that meets their expectations and capacities
- Provide micro credit, grant facilities to commence self-employment
based on skills levels observed for promising enterprise
- Provide assistance to resolve issues of non-procession
of national ID cards
Housing Project
In addition to our main focus areas we intend to launch
a housing construction project in four selected geographic areas
for 100 families in the districts. The housing construction
plan includes 50 two beded room houses, 50 three bedded room
houses, a church, a day care centre, a shopping complex, an
agricultural farm, a fuel station and a luxury restaurant and
a café for tourists through which we intend to generate considerable
amount of livelihood opportunities for the youth and the adults
alike.
Day Care Centers
In our project areas those who are required to go out of
home for work (estate workers, agricultural farmers etc) are
finding it difficult to do so because of the inability leave
their young children alone at homes. This has subjected people
to economic difficulties. Therefore our organization intend
to establish day care centres where the children of those who
need to go can stay safe till their parents return from work.
At the day care centres we intend to provide the children with
daily meals as well as primary education.
Building Schools and Renovations
Most of the schools in our areas are not up to the expected
standards with compared with those of in the other districts.
Due to lack of classroom facilities some teachers are required
to conduct their teaching under the trees. To resolve this problem
we intend to build new class rooms for existing schools or renovate
the existing ones. We intend to provide schools with computer
rooms, laboratory and playground facilities.
We will
also establish bible study rooms in each school and auditoriums
for conducting events and functions.
Warehouse facilities
We intend to build storage and warehouse facilities for
dry rations and relief items such as cloths in every project
areas.
Library facilities
We intend to establish libraries for the use of the children
of the low income groups in order to enhance their knowledge.
Farming facilities
We intend to provide equipments and other items for farmers
to cultivate their lands. Equipments will include but not limited
to Tractors, Generators, Vegetable seeds, Fertilizers and etc.

Pension schemes
We offer a pension scheme for those who are suffering from
physical paralysis. We intend to give them a monthly under
the social services.

December Project – School Children
We are in process of donating 5,000 numbers of school bags,
school uniforms and school books for girls and boys, who are
in poverty in Nuwara Eliya district.
January Project – Free Medical Camp Month
We have plan to carry out free medical camp in the following
districts; Nuwara Eliya, Bandarawela and Badulla. We are planning
free medical camps to elderly people, children and pregnant
mothers.
February Project – Supplying Pure Drinking Water
We have planned to supply 1,000 liter tanks to needy schools
in the up country. Then we will be able to store drinking water
and supply to children.
March Project – Sanitation Month
We are planning to build new toilets facility and repair
toilets in the hill country schools.
April Project – Literature Month
We have plan to supply whole sort of educational books to
all library in schools and help schools to open a new library
in school if they do not have one. We plan to donate worth of books to the library each.
May Project – Housing
We have plan to start 100 unit houses for the poverty people
living in a above districts. We will build one living room,
two bed rooms, one kitchen and a bathroom for each house.
June Project – Holly Month
In this month we would thanks and pray our holly lord Jesus
for what has done in the last six months to our foundation to
help needy people. We will evaluate the projects which we have
carried out in the last six months and we will organize praise
and worship services in the above cities and towns.
